

Created in 2001, this campaign was for the Saudi Arabian based franchise of Blimpie Subs and Salads, as the new kids on the block, wanted a promotional campaign to boost sales and increase awareness against their competition, Subway. Their promotion centered around their 3 & 6ft subs, that could feed up to thirty people. I chose to try and demonstrate the approximate size of sandwich with a DPS broadsheet version of the add and a maildrop menu which both almost matched the size length of the 3ft sub to offer the consumer a sense of scale. The campaign ran for one month and drove Blimpie's sales to over 110% over the same previous period. We were fortunate to ensure the press ad placement ran through the gutter of the newspaper, with the campaing being launched in both English and Arabic.
