In 2006 I was commissioned by a client in Saudi Arabia to design and photograph a two hundred page interior design coffee table book aimed at a target market of affluent Saudi's who on the whole had been educated in both Arabic and English in Europe or the United States. The book was published predominantly in English with a European design feel.

These consumers naturally gravitate towards exclusive luxury furniture, homewares, electronics and garden brands. Pages and spreads in the book were purchased by purveyors of these same exclusive brands, other pages featured aspirational interior design content.

Over a period of three months I travelled Saudi Arabia, primarily Jeddah and Riyadh, photographing interiors of upmarket villa's, palaces and shown rooms that featured exclusively designed bespoke interiors, exteriors, furniture and art. I developed a brand identiy for Gallery and design theme to run through the book and tie all the page content together, with advertorial pages assimilating an individual client's own branding and content. Along with the support of my wife, we completed post processing of all images, the majority of which were shot by me along with various client supplied images. I supplied the final print ready book to our client in Saudi Arabia in digital format ready for publication.
The Gallery Brand was developed to work both in the Latin Frutiger type. I constructed the Arabic logo type also using Frutiger as a base. A simplistic design was puposely selected so that it could work with any page layout harmoniously.
